I AM COACH KERRY SEPPA

For the better part of two decades, I've worked to improve and broaden my knowledge of health, human movement, strength training, and all things human body. In fact, I saved my own health throughout this process. I am here to share what I have learned to help you achieve a healthy, strong, vibrant body that moves well and feels good.

I offer Functional Movement Restoration and Rehabilitation, Strength Training, and more. I can help you improve your mobility, increase your strength and enhance your life. Take charge, join me and learn a whole new approach to taking care of your body and its potential.

Getting to Know YOU

Whether you are coming to me for strength & conditioning training, recovering from post-surgical/PT care, experiencing an acute or chronic condition such as shoulder, knee, or back pain or need lifestyle and nutritional guidance, I am here to help. YOU matter to me and it is important that we get to know each other. I want to understand where you are in your health journey and how I can guide you to reach your goals. We will review your health history, lifestyle & behaviors and any obstacles you may be facing. Together we will develop your plan.

My 3-Step Training Protocol

I am a Licensed & Certified Healthcare Professional. My role as your Coach is to educate, restore & develop you as my client.  I created my 3-Step Protocol because no two people are alike. My professional assessment will provide a proper baseline for me to customize your plan for wellness, rehabilitation or strength & conditioning.

Step 1

ASSESS

I observe the human body through a functional lens. I utilize Functional Movement Systems (The FMS™) as a standard operating procedure for observing a clients' movement quality. I will screen your movement patterns and check in with your lifestyle behaviors such as nutrition, stress, breathing, injury history and sleep to ensure success in your start or return to training, sport and/or just simple everyday life. 

Step 2

RESTORE

I have created an innovative way to educate & assign my clients specific skills and exercises based on assessment results to restore movement quality and life balance.  When you are functionally restored as a whole, your body is prepared to strengthen properly & safely. You will feel and move better overall to live the life you want.

Step 3

STRENGTHEN

You want to live well as long as you can. With a solid foundation of healthy habits, life skills and better movement, you will be able to train your body for longevity safely.  I am a StrongFirst® Certified Instructor.  As my client, you will learn specific new skills & techniques to strength train with purpose. Your programming will be customized with your safety & goals in mind. This type of practice will give you confidence & results for life!

I have worked for the better part of two decades to grow and expand upon my vast knowledge of health, nutrition, kettlebell training, functional movement and all things human body.  All of that hard work culminated in the opening of my practice, The Functional Body, in 2017 and the further attainment of elite certifications within the StrongFirst® and Functional Movement Systems (FMS™) communities. 

I have learned from the BEST and continue to do so.

When it comes to training, I take pride in expanding my knowledge to provide the best possible service for you.  I practice numerous modalities that give me the tools to gather important facts that I utilize to program you safely and with purpose.  It is of the utmost importance to me that you understand the “WHY” behind your programming and know that there is purpose behind everything I assign.

When you work with me, you will learn valuable skills and gain knowledge about your body.  You will learn what it is to “Be Strong”.  You will learn what it is to be proud of that strength.  When you discover your strength, it is something that will light a fire inside and transcend to all areas of your life.  Strength goes far beyond training; it is something you will carry proudly.  Strength is beautiful; it is the best feeling in the world.  And my biggest reward is seeing your smile from the results that you receive when you dedicate yourself to my process.

I’m confident to state that I stand for everything it means to be an exceptional Coach.  I have the skills, knowledge, compassion and patience to help make a difference.  I provide you with a safe space in person and online.  A space where you can be yourself and not feel judged, intimidated, frustrated or confused.  A space where you can learn, get inspired, and find joy in caring for yourself.  It is my mission to help guide you towards better health, improved movement & strength to live your best life.
